Save a Child

REVAMP
CHILDREN’S CHARITY PROJECT
‘’the star kids’’

NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION – ABUJA

INTRODUCTION
In the recent years we’ve had so many NGO’s and related bodies involving in charity and humanitarian work especially in the area of  pregnant women and children who are stagnated  as a result of lack of developmental care and social amenities in our society  which have really gone a long way in developing their economic and social welfare/need .
According to UNICEF, however estimated, there are approximately 100 million children worldwide living in the street with the numbers rapidly growing, many studies have determined that street children are mostly often boys aged 10 to 14 and girls also have a greater vulnerability to trafficking for commercial sexual exploitation. In Nigeria, there are estimated over 2millions orphans in Nigeria roaming the streets with no shelter, food and clothing.
Having known these, a vulnerable child is one who is living in circumstances with high risk and whose prospect for continued growth and development are seriously threatened and is a victim of  chronic poverty, armed conflict or famine with/or social and cultural background.
Many families in Nigeria are struggling to care for their children. Our country has inherited a legacy of extreme inequality, gender imbalance, violence especially domestic violence, sexual abuse and neglect.
However, Revamp’s motive is to limit/eradicate these crises (poverty, HIV/AIDS…) which are life threatening in our society. Many abandoned children are out there struggling for survival. Some of these children have been abandoned by their biological mothers who cannot fend for themselves, talk more of their babies, endangering and exposing them to threats of life. Our strategic plan of action is to reduce and/or put an end to these problems facing our community and society so as to put smiles on the faces of these vulnerable kids.

WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
REVAMP children’s charity project is originally and uniquely founded by NATIONAL YOUTH SERVICE CORPS, NYSC corps member.
REVAMP Children’s charity project is an independent non-profit organization actively involved in attaining universal access to education for underprivileged children, with a particular emphasis on orphans of HIV/AIDS.
REVAMP is also in the process of registering to become a non-profit organization located in Abuja, Nigeria. For our registration details, you may wish to contact; Sulaiman Usman Esq, GAMZAKI LAW CHAMBERS (solicitors, advocates and legal consultants).

MISSION STATEMENT
This originally NYSC project as one of the community development services, aims at helping every child to achieve and fulfill his dream in life. The purpose is to primarily inculcate in Nigerian youth and children the spirit of selfless service to the community and to emphasize the spirit of oneness and brotherhood of all Nigerians, irrespective of cultural or social background.

VISION
Having seen the challenges faced by many orphans and vulnerable ones, Revamp is an innovative and new project that brings about renewing the minds of the young people and children particularly the orphanages by creating working skills, poverty alleviation, reduction of social misdemeanors as a result of unemployment, rights to education as well as carving an economic niche in the society and giving them the opportunity to the rights of being good citizens of Nigeria. However, REVAMP kids are ‘’STAR kids’’.
